Hi there! We are Aaron & Laurie Eckard. We'd like to share with you about how God put a passion and desire in our hearts to encourage others in their marriage and family, but first, let us tell you more about us..
Our Faith
We love our Lord Jesus Christ and strive to please Him outwardly in our service toward others, and inwardly as we seek to love each other well, and grow in Christ.
We recognize that even though we are not perfect, God loves us and forgives us. It is only thru the love, grace, and forgiveness that He gives us, that we are able to forgive and each other.
We are made right with God when we come before Him humbly, believing, by faith, that Jesus died for us on the cross and gave us eternal life with Him.
Our Story
When a man and woman join together in the covenant of marriage, there is a profound and inseparable union that occurs. The two become one.
After 30 years of marriage, Laurie suddenly found herself a widow in 2010 and Aaron became a widower in 2011 after 26 years of marriage.
We met on ChristianMingle.com and got married in 2012. Thru the tragedy of losing a spouse, God has uniquely blessed us in many ways, and we desire to share with others some of the great things that we have learned thru our journey.
Our Journey
In February 2020, we went on the Family life Love Like You Mean It cruise where we met the Directors for the Weekend To Remember (WTR) in the Cleveland/Akron OH area.
We joined the WTR volunteer team that same year and witnessed the transforming power of the gospel of Christ in countless marriages.
In October 2024, we facilitated a 2-day marriage retreat thru our church, Grace Evangelical Bible Church in Newbury, OH. The following month, we launched our monthly newsletter, eventually creating this website to post our newsletters and additional content to provide encouragement and hope to couples.
We both testify that marriage is hard, but it is definitely worth giving your best to God and your spouse and watching what only He can do thru it!
